У меня XP SP3 игра не запускается выдает ошибку в чем может быть проблема???

Установка PhysX не помогла причем на двух машинах!
Игра по прежнему выдает ошибку!
Может это проблема конфигурации?

Пробовал кстати по всякому и драйвера обновил все равно ошибка на двух машинах.
Ссылки на игру обновлены, добавлен отдельный фикс - для всех, кто успел скачать проблемную версию (нет надобности перекачивать всё заново - просто установите фикс поверх игры).

Не факт. Предыдущая версия вообще могла работать только в исключительных случаях, у меня она работала на XP SP3, но не работала на Vista x64 SP1. Теперь же должно по крайней мере запускаться везде.
Лучше бы понять, на каком этапе ошибка появляется.

Great game. Thanks Theta. There is a problem. The texture files have weird (maybe changed by mistake) names and the game can't load them and crashes in the middle of loading.

"й" should be a valid symbol for regular file system, and there are no mistakes - that files are being called right this way.
Is it crashes on main menu loading for you? Or at some level?

It crashes or better...stuck on every loading screen. The loading valve stops spinning and with the alt+tab i see that behind the game appears a new window that has the error: Error Texture files not found. The details of this error is that the some texture files not found or changed with white color texture. Below that it shows the names of the faulty textures. I renamed the textures as the error wanted them and it worked. Now the game load the textures fine at the "first level" but it does that on every level!!! I need to rename a lot of textures.
The symbol "й" i think it's Russian. So it's not regular for all the systems. Also for a Multilanguage game, it's wierd to have such symbol and not only latin characters.

I think there is something running on your system, which wrapping applications at runtime, not letting the game access files directly. As a result, unicode characters are being cut, and when the game tries to to access some "textureй.dss", your system making it think that it should access "texture.dss". Try to disable any file-protection/antivirus software (if you have it enabled) and run the game to see if it will help.

Of course, developer could predict unicode-filenames problems and make them all in latin characters, but it's really up to our systems to bear it. For example many games here have problems with saving settings/progress in non-english folder-paths - sometimes we can fix this, sometimes not. Here we didn't find issues while running at non-english systems, so we didn't find this problem.
I'm sure, there is something in your system that can be changed to make the game deal correctly with that files. I just don't really know what can cause such problems. If you can't find any real solution, then it seems renaming files that way is the only workaround for you.

That is strange because the demo contains such files too, and it is loading them with first level. There is no way full game would cope with such files differently. I don't know the reason it doesn't work for you then, really.
Anybody have the same problem? Write about your windows versions please. Also, would be great if someone (with this problem) will contact me for testing instructions.

I know this topic is kind of dead but what I did to get this to finally work was:
First download the demo, install demo, then I overwrote the files with the full version (which I put into another directory and installed the fix to the full) and then copied over the full version files into the demo directory overwriting all files. But it keeps the working demo .dds files intact. Crap this is really a convulted explanation.
Anyways install demo overwrite demo with full and done.
You guys get what I'm getting at right.

Thanks at least for this! I saw that file-reading system of the game is kinda strange, so i guess trying to build complete release that will be working for someone with this problem - is useless...

sin4nothing the original installer names the files "on the fly". I installed the demo and all worked fine. And also all the texture files were named correct (The last character was correct). Theta's installer maybe just extract the files with the already russian characters. On Every country the files will have different names i think. We need the original game installer and then apply the crack.

There are no original installer for this game, also what you call "russian" symbols are hard-coded into the game files, so there is no way they would differ.

xaxaxaxa Giota fix that's definately the right name Liandri ( don't forget we also found some "thetas" in lvl 13 )
Something new i remembered. Fore some reason avira antivir finds the uninstall.exe as a TR/Agent.38693.A Trojan WTF? Other games that has also the same uninstaller doesn't have this prob. Of course i did a system scanand redownloaded the game just in case it was infected by me but again Avira finds the uninstaller as a trojan

Perhaps Avira just had to add it to white-list because of some complain... anyway uninstaller is the same here. Logically it performs absolutely the same operations, but practically this one is created for big games (predicting <= 500 MB), so it has other signature of course, and Avira thinks that it is not white-listed file, but another file.
Funny thing, i have 5 versions of the same uninstaller, which are differ only in this predict-size thing, they are created only by changing this parameter, but still some antiviruses are detecting "trojan" in some of them, and not detecting it in others!
